Welcome to my workshop!

…Well the blog about my workshop anyhow. My name is Lance but for the bulk of my life I have gone by the name of Magnus. For the past 20 years or so I have spent my time playing live action role playing games (fantasy, horror, and even sci-fi), miniature gaming of all sorts, and model making for personal fun and a couple independent film projects. Currently (well for about four years now) my primary hobby has been the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA). For people not in the know that is a sort of medieval reenactment. During all of this one of my primary pastimes has been working with leather. Over the years I have made all sorts of products from leather fantasy armor to modern holsters and tool bags.

Up till now I have only casually tracked by progress with leatherworking but recently it was suggested I collect pictures of my projects, articles, and picture in one spot. It seemed like a blog was the best way to go, so here it is! I don’t consider myself an expert and by no means is my way always the best way. I hope this blog will help me improve my work and if it helps someone else either expand their leather working or get into leather working that is a win in my book. I plan to stick to mostly leather working projects (and my primary focus is SCA projects for the immediate future) but I may post the odd fun project to just mix things up from time to time.
